Have your Filled a Bucket Today? October 5, 2010

Filed under: 1 Mrs. A's Daily Posts! — Bethany Arsenault @ 12:21 am

We read the book “Have you Filled a Bucket Today?”  This book is a fabulous way to help children (and adults) show love and respect for others and themselves too.  It is a fabulous book – I highly recommend it!

My goal is to create a positive atmosphere in our classroom.  Ask your child each day if they filled a bucket and discuss how it filled his/her own bucket!

Take Home Folders!

Please make sure that the take home folder folder stays neat and clean.  It will help a great deal if you help your child practice putting papers into folders at home.  The Folder MUST RETURN TO SCHOOL EVERY DAY!

I appreciate your help with this process.  If you have any notes for me, please put them in this folder.  If the note is urgent, please pin it to your child’s shirt.

Water Bottles

Your child can either bring the bottle home to fill or fill it at school in the morning.  I really stress how important it is to drink water throughout the day.  The children can also use the drinking fountain.  Your child might want to fill his/her water bottle at school so that it doesn’t spill in their backpacks.  Then they can take them home to wash as needed.  These are just suggestions, please do what works best for your child :o)

Tuesday and Wednesday – we have P.E. so please wear tennis shoes to school.

Please label all your child’s clothes (especially coats, hats, sweatshirts, and other outdoor wear)
