Popcorn Words are in full swing!

The kids are so excited about reading their flashcards 🙂

I will test the students 1-2 times a week.

Writing Workshop!

We are working on writing stories about our own lives.  Each child will develop writing skills at his/her own pace.  Below are a few things to work on at home:

          • Write, type or use letter stickers to practice writing/creating 3 letter words

          • Draw and label a picture together and let your child say the story aloud and you write the words.  This is a great way to model sentence structure.

          • Let your child help you write your grocery list.

          • Print out writing paper from the blog and have them write stories at home.  I will let them share them with the class 🙂

Math Mission

We are working on the following skills in math:

          • Counting orally to 20

          • Matching numbers to the correct quantity of objects

          • Writing numbers 1-10

          • Determining more and less

          • Beginning to learn to count by tens, fives, and twos

          • identifying numbers
